If you tried calling in or emailing last Thursday, you may not have been able to get through, because I was showing some of our Die Cutting Machines on TV! Talk about nerve racking! I woke up sick the morning before, and I’m sure it was due to the stress I had felt all week about my first time on television! I have never done anything like this before. Our video tutorials make me nervous enough! I am better off BEHIND the camera! As it turned out, it was not as bad as I thought it was going to be, but what did I know? Next time, (if there is a next time) I won’t be NEAR as nervous and be able to have more fun with it!
Dustin set this all up with KSL’s Studio 5, one of our local television station programs, and Marcie and I got to go into the station. The people on the Studio 5 set were fantastic! They were so nice and made us feel so comfortable, like it was no big deal at all. It helped my nerves a lot. Thanks to everyone at KSL!
Since I’m the Education Director, my job was to be the one on camera to talk about the different machines. I was interviewed by Brooke who is a gem! I knew who she was from other KSL programs, and I can tell you, she is just as charming in person.
We showed the following machines along with projects made with those machines.
Provo Craft Cuttlebug
Sizzix Big Shot
Sizzix Big Shot Pro
Here is a picture of me backstage staging our display. Can you tell I’m just a little stressed out? Haha! Somebody tell this woman to CHILL!
I have posted the segment below, if you would like to watch.
I guess I can now put a check mark next to “Be on TV” on my bucket list and give me something to tell my grandchildren someday. As for present day, when my daughter told my granddaughter to come see grandma on TV, Claire responded “No she’s not” and merrily went on playing! Ah, to be a two year old!
I hope you have enjoyed hearing about my first TV experience. If you are shopping for a die cutting machine, you can find more information on our different machines in past blog posts as well! Click HERE for machine reviews.
Thanks & Happy Scrappin’!
