Emboss A Layout!
Have you ever wanted to emboss a layout but didn’t know how you would do a whole sheet? Well, now you can emboss an 8 1/2 x 11″ sheet of paper or cardstock using a few larger Spellbinders M-Bossabilities! The larger folders SKU # begins with EG. These larger dies have patterns on both sides just like the smaller sizes.
EG-002 Dainty Dots
EG-003 Garden Lattice
EG-001 Graduated Dots
I used the Dainty Dots and Garden Lattice to emboss the blue and pink backgrounds for my double page layout. It gave dimension and detail to the backgrounds by simply putting a sheet of cardstock in the embossing folder and running it through my Grand Calibur. BTW- you do need to have a Grand Calibur or other machine with a minimum opening of 8 1/2 x 11″.
Because I needed 12 x 12″ pages, I placed the embossed cardstock on 12 x 12″ sheets of cardstock, but the white backing made the cardstock pop! Yes, this is me and my adorable grandchildren visiting a duck pond. They LOVE the ducks!
Again, I kept my layout clean and simple to give focus to the photos. I used strips of pattern paper, buttons and QuicKutz Detailz dies for embellishments. QuicKutz Detailz are specifically designed to cut and emboss, but you can stencil with these as well! You can view all of the Detailz dies HERE. I used DC0465- Banners and DC0467-Flags on my layout.
Make sure you have a good adhesive to adhere items to your embossed paper, otherwise it won’t stick to the raised surface! I used glue dots on my photos and embellishments and 1/4″ Scor-Tape on the ribbon for the banners. Worked great!
Thanks and Happy Scrappin’!
