Spellbinders Die D-Lites Create A Lily Cards

I’m back this week with another set of cards using Spellbinders Die D-Lites Create-a-Flower dies.  This week I’m using the Lily dies to create two cards and three different colored lilies to give you some inspiration and ideas for your own flower garden of cards or embellishments.

You aren’t going to pop these flowers out in a minute or two, but the time you spend will be will worth it when you hold the finished product in your hands.  They are so delightful to make.  Once the petals and stamens are glued to the base you can really see the flower take shape from paper pieces to a beautiful embellishment to add to your cards or projects.

I used lily images from Google to get an idea of how to do the spots on the flowers. On the card above I used some lace from my stash along with papers from Tim Holtz new Wallflower paper collection.  A few metal pieces and a stickpin were just enough to complete this A2 size card (4 1/2″ x 5 1/”).

The second card example is using a pink lily.  I cut the petals from pink cardstock and painted the edges with white pigment ink.  The die underneath is Spellbinders French Harmony.  Adding just a wrap of pink stained seam binding to the flower gives it a nice finish.  I tucked in a flower spray and stick pin from my stash.

Please check out my video for a step-by-step walk through of how to make a yellow lily.  Be sure to check out the huge assortment of flower dies in the store to create your own garden of embellishments.

Thanks and Happy Scrappin’!
