Kaisercraft Kaleidoscope Scrapbook Layout!
I’m positive that many of you can relate when I say I barely purchased this paper pack only to run right home to open the Kaisercraft Kaleidoscope for my scrapbook layout shown below. Even in the car, I kept picking it up to admire how pretty it was. Please tell me that I’m not the only one who does this! I just couldn’t wait to tear into it, especially since my daughter had just sent me the print of me and my new little granddaughter taken last week on the day I left them to come home after a 2 week stay to help with things after the baby was born. To be honest, I didn’t want to come home. I miss them terribly already! There are to many miles between UT and TX.
How grateful I am for technology which helps us be able to communicate so fast and easy these days. I am also grateful for beautiful products which enables us to document and preserve those precious memories we make with our loved ones. I am especially blessed to work for a company which allows me access to some of the best quality products which feeds my scrapbooking addiction!
Kaisercraft, Spellbinders and Scor-Tape are three of those products that I used on this project that made putting this layout incredibly easy! As usual, the hardest part was choosing which papers to use because they are all gorgeous!
I used all three dies in the set for my layout, using the oval die to cut the center out of the middle die, then cut a second piece for my center.
I actually used parts of 5 sheets total from the pack. One of them I just fussy cut the roses in the upper left corner to lay over the back sheet for dimension using foam squares. I also used foam squares on the sticker placed in the lower left corner over the Mystical Embrace die cut. It is not only a pretty layer, but if you look close, one of my dies slipped without my knowing and cut a chunk out of the larger piece and made it so the larger die didn’t cut all the way through the bottom, so the sticker covers it up very nicely! You probably wouldn’t have noticed if I hadn’t told you, but I hate to waist if I can save a goof up!
I also noticed that on one side of the sheets there is a pattern on the waste edge. Well, why not use this as well? The rose strip on both ends of the photo mat is exactly that! The rest of the embellishments are from the sticker sheet. I love them! Simple but beautiful. Totally works for me!
PK469-Kaleidoscope Paper Pack contains twelve patterned 12×12″ double-sided papers (2 each of 6 designs) and one 12×12″ coordinating sticker sheet.
S6-012-Spellbinders 5×7 Mystical Embrace Card Creator die set includes three dies with a fancy design full of intricate swirly cuts and embossing around a rectangular outline in the center. Use alone with its embossed center or use with any Spellbinders 5×7″ Matting Basics sets for perfect layering.
