So in case you didn’t realize, Christmas is almost here and I have a gift idea that you can throw together to give to any friend or family member. Just grab a can, we used a can of Pirroettes and some cute paper and begin by covering it, If you are looking for some really cute Christmas paper we used Elf Magic from BoBunny. Next, we cut out these really ornate doilies which we though were great for snowflakes from Spellbinders and fancied them up with some bling. Last but not least the top was simply the the die cut

My daughter had a double birthday party last weekend and we needed a gift idea for two four year olds. What four year old doesn’t like candy??? I know none. Therefore, I let Claire choose some candy and we made it into a candy roll gift. It’s funny how I felt like I didn’t have a lot of time to shop for a present, but I sure had the time to make these…and it probably took a little longer. It was fun! I got my feet wet with some of the new spellbinders and I’m loving them. I’m a little

Wow where does the time go? Our kids keep having birthdays on an annual basis and you know they are growing up right before our eyes so here is another birthday card for our princess. Our Ellana is quite the handful but oh so cute. She is also 100% girl and loves everything to do with princesses right now (tiaras, dresses, pretty shoes, and “ip stick”) This card will really get her excited.
When we received this die cut from Sizzix, both Heather and I thought the same thing, that it would make a cute Cinderella carriage even though it said

You are going to be seeing a lot of Halloween from us these next few weeks because like I said Heather is really into the spooky season, so here is a spooky Halloween decoration. I hope you are enjoying the nice cool air of an early fall this year, we had the first frost out by us today. Soon the leaves will be changing and before you know it there will be knocks at the door with kids in full costume yelling “Trick or Treat”. It is a fun time of year and for some reason when the change of

If you find yourself in a bind and need a birthday, get well, or really any other card, here is a last minute card idea for you that can literally take you 2-3 minutes to make.I ordered this card making set from Hero Arts a few months ago thinking it was something else but it comes in handy when we have forgot to pick up a card. it comes with the main card and all you have to do is choose one of four stamps it comes with to stamp on the paper.
Or if that is way too simple you

Here is a fun little gift idea for someone in your life using Bo Bunny paper. Heather went to a girls camp a few weeks back, and she wanted to make a little gift for the “Young Women’s” president of the girls in our church, to say thank you for all the work that she had put into planning such a great event. Don’t worry, this idea can be used for so much more than a girls camp gift, just put whatever saying you would like and whatever die cuts you want and there you go! You have made this

Heather and I ordered this paper stack from DCWV because we have notices that we have not really done many boy things with the blog so here is a boys dinosaur page layout that we did for our sons scrapbook. A few years back we were able to go to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point and we got some really cut pictures that were perfect for this page but don’t think that you have to have dino pictures because boys and dinosaurs just go together, just ask my son Turner because he was in heaven at the Dinosaur Museum.

It’s time to feed that inner princess that you or a girly family member possesses! The Want2Scrap Chipboard Carriage Album is the perfect way to make your own Carriage Activity Book that a little princess is sure to love! Get some snazzy glitter, some beautiful paper and you’re well on your way!
A lot of the chipboard albums I’ve made become mini scrapbooks, which is wonderful! I thought I was going to make this for my daughters third birthday and fill it with pictures from her party, but we ended up moving to a place where we had no friends to

I really want you to see some of the projects that DCWV designers had on display at their DCWV CHA Summer 2013 booth. My hats off to their design team as they did a fabulous job-as usual! I especially loved the framed projects displayed on the outer walls of their booth. Some were really interesting! All of these projects were made with various Die Cuts With A View paper pads!
Let me quite blabbing here, and get started. You can also see one of Cut@Home’s owners, beautiful Janeth, who joined us on this trip. We had a blast doing the many

We were celebrating our little Ellana’s third birthday so we made this card with Sizzix princess stamps because she is all about princesses at the moment. She got her princess dress, her princess cake, her princess decorations, and her princess card.
This card started as does all of our projects with well designed paper. It is amazing how good paper makes working so much easier, this paper was from DCWV from The Playtime Stack. Once we had a princess paper picked out Heather had fun with the stamp set and finished it all of with the white boarder and pearls.

Hope you all had a great 4th of July yesterday and now is the time to get all of those pictures developed and scrapbooked with Authentiques Pride Collection. This paper stack is pretty amazing because it comes with so much, not only does it have really cute paper designs but it comes with sheets of stickers that make designing not only easy but really fun. I decided to scrapbook some pictures from a few years ago because when I was doing this page we hadn’t had the 4th yet. It was fun to look back to this year because Heather

With the 4th of July coming up we thought that we would do a decoration that you can use to show off your patriotism. I don’t know about your house but in our house the summer month holidays always get overlooked with decoration because we are so busy with other stuff but because we do this blog we have been making a lot more to put up on the walls for these overlooked holidays. We got this paper from Bo Bunny a few weeks ago and have really been looking forward to using it so our next few blogs will

Here is a camping layout for all those camping trips that you have planned this summer. This layout is made easy with Bo Bunny’s paper stack ”Trail Mix” because it has all sorts of different outdoor motifs that you can use for just about any outdoor occasion that you can think of. This was our annual family camping trip to a little lake up Ephraim Canyon called Lake Hill. We have a lot of fun catching fish, going on hikes, sitting around the campfire, and eating lots of good dutch oven cooking. We also used this corrugated paper from DCWV which is

Here is our Clowning Around page layout that you can use for all the clowns in your family. Heather and I made 13 of these pages because Heather is part of a scrapbook exchange. With this exchange they get together every three months (Girls Night) and they each get one page from everyone else. It is really nice because she gets fresh ideas and has a bunch of pages that she just needs to add the pictures.
This layout was a lot of fun and even better when we found these pictures or our kids clowning around. We used DCWV’s the

We got some foil on our last order and they made such fun and easy Mothers Day cards. If you have forgotten about Mothers Day, first off shame on you, but here is an idea for some last minute ideas for a card. We used Spellbinders #2 foil packs which have 5 different color choices that really work with the Mothers Day feel but you can get them in all sorts of colors and even natural metal colors so check them out. Just start with a background pattern or color and fold your card. Next use some kind of texture

Alright folks, you have ONE week until Mother’s Day, so here’s is another Mother’s Day Gift Album idea. This is actually going to Grandma from my two cuties, so you can really make this for any lovely woman in your life. First off, if you’re reading this blog looking for a Mother’s Day idea, let me tell you, most women (at least the one’s I know) love thoughtful, homemade gifts from their children. Sure, you can flower her with roses (and by all means do so if you’d like), but gift her something from those children that they can help

Mothers Day is coming up pretty quick so what better gift could you give her than an album full of pictures of her children? Unfortunately I can’t give this one to Heather because she made half of it but take a few minutes and make one for the mother you have in your life. We had these pictures that grandma took as they played cowboy (and cowgirl) at their house. These Albums from Want2Scrap are really fun to put together and they have so many different styles to choose from. Sometimes it is nice to get a break from doing

Make fabulous cards with Sizzix Thinlits! You can also make beautiful layouts if you are a scrapbooker. These wafer thin dies come as sets in a cute little storage envelope, which make these extremely easy to store! To view all of the Sizzix Thinlits we carry, please click HERE.
As you probably know by now, I like to keep my projects fairly simple, so I can get them done in a reasonable time frame. If I can’t complete a project within and hour or two, it may NEVER get finished! I have to get them done and out of the way
