First off, I forgot to mention in the video these dies are ‘Pre-Order’ which means they haven’t hit the store yet, but if you like them order them now and they’ll be shipped as soon as they hit the shelf. OK on with the show folks! Spellbinders, bless their hearts, have done it again. They are just so darn creative. They have some new dies in their Shapeabilities Collection called Card Fronts. I’m going to introduce you to two of them today. They are super! The 3 F kind – – – Fast, Fun and Fantastic! SEE VIDEO!
I made one using each of the dies I have the Spellbinders Contemporary Strip and the Leaves A Fallin’ Card Front Dies. I used Graphic 45’s Time to Celebrate and Heartfelt Creations Sun Kissed paper collections along with some solid cardstock for my card bases. Both cards are standard A2 size 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″.
These dies cut a decorative panel (which you can emboss for more detail) that fit directly on your A2 card front. Or, if you don’t use the outer die to cut it out you can use a paper trimmer to trim to a custom size. That’s what I’ve done on the Get Well Card because I was using a scrap of paper that didn’t quite fit the width of the die. So I just used the inner panel for the decorative elements, embossed it and then cut it with my paper trimmer leaving the top edge wider than what you’d get if you used the die mat frame included. I also snipped off the lower portion below the last row of circles. So don’t be stuck in the ‘do it as it shows it’ puddle, change it up to fit what you have or the look you’d like to achieve.
Using the Spellbinders Die D-Lites Sentiments 4 I added the script ‘thinking of you’ and ‘get well’ to each card. These are fantastic word sentiment dies that cut easily and pop out with no problem at all. You can always add some glitter and/or Glossy Accents to give the words more zip and pizzazz. The last die I used was the die-namites ‘Lovely Grass for the inside. This is a darling die and I cut it down quite a bit to fit the card base. I haven’t tried it yet but they say among other things you can cut even thin chipboard and cork sheets. So I hope you’ll check out the card fronts and watch the video too, I’ll walk you through the dies and the construction of the cards to inspire you to change up your card fronts with the new Spellbinders Shapeabilities Card Front Dies.
Go ahead and check out my video as well if that helps!
Thanks and Happy Scrappin’!
