Easy Wedding Card Using Silhouette Cameo

June 13th, 2014 | by Crystal Thompson

Wedding season is here and what a better way to use our Silhouette Cameo than for all those wedding cards. Today I am dusting off the cameo and getting to work using a card that can be bought directly from the Silhouette Studio. Combining this cutting file with a beautiful and easy water color background, the effect gives this card an elegant feel. The color was inspired by the bride’s color scheme of teal and pink. This card can also be easily given for a bridal shower too! Let’s get started. 1. Purchase & download”Wedding Dress Card” by Angela Angelova from the Silhouette

Delicate Doilies-Bright and Beautiful

February 7th, 2014 | by Crystal Thompson

Nothing says beautiful like a Delicate Doilies from Spellbinders. This die-cut set has been begging to be used and this week I am giving them the main focus. The following project had me using my Cuttlebug more than I have in the last couple weeks. Here is the large doilie I used on the cuttlebug. My selection of paper is from Heartfelt Creations :Majestic Morning. I chose this paper pack because it has bright colors already color coordinated and with one 12×12 sheet I got 4 colors to use on this lovely project.   Once my doilies were cut, I used Marianne Designs:

Dandelion Wishes Multi-purpose Layered Card

January 17th, 2014 | by Crystal Thompson

Howdy and welcome! Today we are featuring My Favorite Things “Dandelion Wishes”stamp set shown in my Dandelion Wishes multi-purpose layered card below. This set is absolutely gorgeous and very versatile! I could not pick a project to start with because of all the possibilities. One of my favorite things about My Favorite Things is the selection of stamps with a distinctive air.  With this in mind I decided to go back to the basics; stamping and layering. To begin this card was paper selection. Cut@home has a great selection of paper, and since I am a bit colored blind I played it safe

A “Beary” Big Thank you!

December 30th, 2013 | by Stacy

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and I know just how to give a Beary Big Thank You to all of your loved ones. Last year my husband and I wrote thank you notes for all the gifts we received from Christmas and it was incredibly fun. It gave us more gratitude for our friends and family and helped us bask in the generosity of others. So, if you’re looking for a way to carry on the Christmas feeling a little longer, then this is for you! For my card, I centered it around the ADORABLE Bear Hug stamp by

Christmas Layout

December 27th, 2013 | by Doug and Heather

I hope that you had a very merry Christmas and now that it is over we are all in serious need of page layout ideas to be able to get all of those pictures scrap booked. Here is one that heather did as part of her scrapbooking exchange she is a part of. These layouts have to be fairly quick because she has to duplicate it multiple times. First start with cute paper, we used Spellbinders Media Mixage. Next we knew we wanted to use the embossed Christmas tree we got a little while ago from Darice Embossing Essentials. and the

Cristmas Gift Idea

December 20th, 2013 | by Doug and Heather

So in case you didn’t realize, Christmas is almost here and I have a gift idea that you can throw together to give to any friend or family member. Just grab a can, we used a can of Pirroettes and some cute paper and begin by covering it, If you are looking for some really cute Christmas paper we used Elf Magic from BoBunny. Next, we cut out these really ornate doilies which we though were great for snowflakes from Spellbinders and fancied them up with some bling. Last but not least the top was simply the the die cut

Snow Family Card

December 9th, 2013 | by Stacy

If you are in all of this bad weather like I am, then you’re going to feel like a snow family, so why not make a Snow Family Card to celebrate (and get through) your cabin fever!? I can’t wait until our ice/snow melts and I can venture outside again without being scared that I’ll fall and break something. I hope you are all safe as we get on with our delightful holiday season! This card is super fun to make! You have stamps. You have coloring (a personal fav). You have sequins. What more can you ask for, right? I

Darice Puzzle Card

December 2nd, 2013 | by Stacy

Although the holidays are fast approaching, December is a full birthday month in my life which is why this Darice Puzzle Card is a great way to start of the month. I have been so excited about the holidays and getting my Christmas shopping done, that I am now in panic mode for the birthday gifts, cards, and shipping times. I like to be done early so I can enjoy the holidays without most of the hustle and bustle so, I pumped out a few cards for the everyday, the birthdays, and the regular sentiments that I should be able

Family Stories

November 25th, 2013 | by Stacy

Teresa Collins‘ Family Stories Collection Pack is the perfect way to start off the documentation of your upcoming holiday memories. Take pictures of thanksgiving, birthdays, visiting Santa, Christmas, New Years, or just because and this will can be your “go-to” paper. It’s family theme helps make scrapbooking pictures of your family so easy and fun! So, I have this adorable little boy and I struggle with scrapbooking his pictures because I’m always naturally drawn to things that are frilly and girly. I hardly ever lean towards getting boy paper or dies. The reason I love this paper so much is that

Thanksgiving Gratitude Journal!

November 20th, 2013 | by Cut@Home

I am a firm believer in celebrating each holiday by itself (even though I started Christmas shopping months ago) and this year I wanted to start a Thanksgiving gratitude journal for our family to write down what they are thankful for. We are celebrating with my side of the family of which I am the oldest of 10 children. If everyone comes, which there will be a few going elsewhere, there is almost 60 of us so far and counting. I thought it would be fun to pass the journal around and see what kind of response there is. Some

Glitter Pinecone Basket

November 18th, 2013 | by Stacy

Gosh, I know that I love the sparkly, but I’m here, yet again, to show you the fabulous Glitter Pinecone Basket. Yes, glitter. (When I promised you lots of glitter projects, I wasn’t kidding.) Don’t you love it when you walk into the christmas isle and you sniff that delightful cinnamon smell and your senses go crazy with holiday memories? It happens to me every single year and I just have to pick up a bundle of cinnamon scented pinecones. It’s a holiday must have for my nose! I have to just say that these glitter pinecones were a blast to

Sizzix Pop n’ Cuts Card

October 28th, 2013 | by Stacy

I made this adorable Sizzix Pop n’ Cuts Card this week and had so much fun doing it! I want to make them by the handfuls now because they are too cute and I really enjoyed working on it. If you have all the pieces pre-cut, you can assemble these puppies in no time. They look more intimidating than they are (I think because they’re 3-D, but Sizzix really does most of the work for you in using their dies. First off, I used the Kaisercraft SugaPop paper. It is fun and spunky and made my always hard task of paper

“Feeling of Fall” Scarecrow Decoration

October 11th, 2013 | by Doug and Heather

I know when you walk out side it feels more like winter than fall but inside our home Heather is giving it a feeling of fall with all of the crafts that she is making and this scarecrow is her latest decoration. My cousin actually cut the wood for this one and Heather did the rest. Graphis 45′s Steampunk Spells paper collection has all sorts of fun designs, so choosing the paper to mod podge onto the hat was easy. Next, just paint on a face you would like and assemble it adding the raffia for hair. As a final

Princess Birthday Card

September 27th, 2013 | by Doug and Heather

Wow where does the time go? Our kids keep having birthdays on an annual basis and you know they are growing up right before our eyes so here is another birthday card for our princess. Our Ellana is quite the handful but oh so cute. She is also 100% girl and loves everything to do with princesses right now (tiaras, dresses, pretty shoes, and “ip stick”) This card will really get her excited. When we received this die cut from Sizzix, both Heather and I thought the same thing, that it would make a cute Cinderella carriage even though it said

Spooky Halloween Decoration

September 20th, 2013 | by Doug and Heather

You are going to be seeing a lot of Halloween from us these next few weeks because like I said Heather is really into the spooky season, so here is a spooky Halloween decoration. I hope you are enjoying the nice cool air of an early fall this year, we had the first frost out by us today. Soon the leaves will be changing and before you know it there will be knocks at the door with kids in full costume yelling “Trick or Treat”. It is a fun time of year and for some reason when the change of

New Spellbinders!

September 16th, 2013 | by Stacy

The new Spellbinders products are beautiful and so exciting! I love when the new stuff comes out because I just have a ball gawking at them. So far, my two most favorite new dies are the branching out and the delicate doilies! Could they be any more beautiful? I love the delicate doilies because you can create a flower and place it on top as a decoration, or you can cut it out of your main page to be in the background and use other products to dress up the surrounding area. It is gorgeous! I was extremely glad to have

Halloween scrapbook Page

September 13th, 2013 | by Doug and Heather

Its getting close to that time of the year again when it starts to cool off and there is a smell of fall in the air so why not do a Halloween scrapbook page. Heather has been in Halloween mode the last few days, I don’t know if it is because we got this fantastic Halloween paper from Bo Bunny or because she is just seeing Halloween stuff already in the stores but we are in full Halloween mode in our house already. Like I have already said, this page starts off with great paper but Heather bought these doilies a
