Here are the Directions on how to use the Presto Punch efficiently:

Place scrapbook paper down first, then the punch or die template, edge down, close the booklet.

Slide the booklet into the Presto Punch. Take care to keep it centered from side to side. Push it ALL THE WAY into the Presto Punch. The back of the book will hit a stop at the back of the unit.Press and hold the punch button (down arrow) all the way to the bottom until it stops running or making any noise.
Press and hold the release button (up arrow) while gently tugging on the book. When the book slides
out of the Presto Punch release the button.
Remove the excess paper from around the punched shape

How to Emboss with the Presto Punch:

With the punched paper in the template place the punch template edge down on the embossing pad
Repeat as above placing the book into the unit, pressing the punch button and release button as above.
